Stenning Hall
About
HIST owns, manages, and funds the Stenning Hall (the village hall) which can be booked for group and private activities and functions. The Hall is well-used by a range of groups and individuals, and there are facilities for table tennis and snooker. The venue is ideal for weddings, parties, and meetings. The Trustees have held a number of events including pantomimes, film nights, snooker tournaments, auction evenings, and festive suppers. The Events Committee is made up of 3 Trustees and up to 7 people from the village.
Facilities and Charges
The Stenning Hall provides excellent facilities which can be booked for a wide range of events. Downstairs, which is fully accessible, is a large Main Hall with stage, a Meeting Room, and a professionally equipped Kitchen. Upstairs there is a Snooker Room with full-sized table. Amenities include baby-changing facilities, disabled toilet, WiFi, and projector screen. Bookings can be taken for all of the facilities or individually. The Main Hall will accommodate up to 100 people standing, up to 90 people seated in rows, and up to 60 people seated at tables.
The fees charged for use of the Hall are kept to a minimum to cover running costs, including heating, lighting and cleaning. People who live in the village pay a reduced rate to hire the Stenning Hall. Reduced rates are also applied for regular users of the Stenning Hall and certain local groups.
